
The Help to Grow: Management Course is designed to help senior managers boost their business performance, resilience and long-term growth.
Delivered through a combination of online sessions, face-to-face learning, peer support and 1-2-1 mentoring, the 12-week programme is 90% funded by the government with the remaining £750 balance covered by participants.
The programme is designed to help participants complete the course whilst running their business and includes:
Eight facilitated online two-hour sessions
Four practical face-to-face case study workshops
10 hours of 1-2-1 coaching from an experienced business mentor, providing participants with personalised support to develop their own business growth plan
Peer networking - including peer group calls - giving participants the opportunity to share experiences with like-minded business leaders
Access to an Alumni Programme featuring events with inspirational speakers, business clinics and networking events
Over 30,000 senior leaders are taking part in a national programme which has been developed in partnership with industry and facilitated by small business experts from leading university business schools, with the support of key business figures and experienced entrepreneurs.
By the end of the programme, participants will:
Develop a Growth Action Plan uniquely tailored to help them lead and grow their business.
Develop their leadership and management skills, enhancing employee wellbeing and engagement in the process.
Recognise what drives productivity and growth in their market and understand what this means for their business.
Learn how to advance responsible business practices, including how to create an inclusive workplace and greener workplace practices.
Understand how to innovate a business model, including how to adopt and invest in new and digital technologies.
Identify key domestic and export markets whilst developing strategies for market segmentation, positioning and targeting.
Develop strategies to improve operational efficiency, saving time and money.
This in-depth, high quality curriculum will help senior managers to build their capabilities in leadership, innovation, digital adoption, employee engagement, marketing, responsible business and financial management.
To join the Help to Grow: Management Course, a business must:
Be a Small or Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) based in the United Kingdom
Employ between 5-249 people
Have been operational for at least one year
Not be a charity
To join the Help to Grow: Management Course, the applicant must:
Be a senior decision maker such as Managing Director, Finance Director, Operations Director etc (only one person per business can attend the programme)
Commit to completing all sessions
